我们只懂冬至时，要吃汤圆. 为何吃？有知乎？
We, as Chinese, or non-Chinese, do we really know about winter solstice?
我们都懂二十四节令鼓....
We all know about 24 seasons drums...isn't it??
二十四节令。。。指的是什么呢？
Well, what does that "24 seasons" mean??
二十四节令鼓是我们祖先的智慧，它们分别为：
A solar term is one of 24 points in traditional East Asian lunisolar calendars that matches a particular astronomical event or signifies some natural phenomenon.
立春、雨水、惊蛰、春分、清明、谷雨；
Start of spring, rain water, awakening of insects, vernal equinox, clear and bright, grain rain;
立夏、小满、芒种、夏至、小暑、大暑；
Start of summer, grain full, grain in ear, summer solstice, minor heat, major heat;
立秋、处暑、白露、秋分、寒露、霜降；
Start of autumn, limit of heat, white dew, autumnal equinox, cold dew, frost descent;
立冬、小雪、大雪、冬至、小寒和大寒。
Start of winter, minor snow, major snow, WINTER SOLSTICE, minor cold, major cold.
所谓的冬至，就是节气的其中一节！以下就是一些简介:

The winter solstice occurs at the instant when the Sun's position in the sky is at its greatest angular distance on the other side of the equatorial plane from the observer's hemisphere. Depending on the shift of the calendar, the winter solstice occurs some time between December 20 and December 23 each year in the northern hemisphere, and between June 20 and June 23 in the southern hemisphere, during either the shortest day or the longest night of the year, which is not to be confused with the darkest day or night, or the day with the earliest sunset or latest sunrise.

这个日子，在本地，我们往往都吃汤圆度过。。。
On this special day, locally, we celebrate it by having the balls of glutinous rice...
有者说，吃汤圆，一粒老一岁，你我都知道这是不可能的！哈哈！
Some people say, you eat one of it, you get older one year~~
当然,汤圆也是团圆的意思，所以，许多华人子弟都会回家过冬至。。。
Of course, the balls of glutinous rice represent reunion~
Therefore, everyone will head back to hometown ~~
至于没得回家乡的人，还好有华文学会康乐组。。。呵呵。。。宣传一下！

一个星期前，我们在院校中度过了属于自己的冬至！
One week ago, we had this winter solstice gathering in campus~~
精彩的是，大家的艺术天分在此时此刻发挥得淋漓尽致！
What's interesting about was the artistic talents shown by the participants....
还好有爱慕学会者！用爱把学会徽章包住了！

当然，有人趁机表白！
Of course, some took this opportunity to confess their love~

听说世界上最好的厨师是男性的，呵呵！
Some ppl say, the best cook of the world is a male...hoho~
也有些人是坐以待“圆”～～
Still, there were some who just sat down and waited for free "balls".....
这位男士好像在检验汤圆的品质～

这是新品种。。。。

难免会有人发“粪”图强！！
We can't avoid such a creative idea.......
冬若至，雪也来，雪人当然也会现身～！
Mid-winter time, here comes the snow....and here comes the SNOW MAN~~
有外佬的参与，至少让他们见证华人庆节的情形～
Some foreigners....at least we introduced them the "balls".....

沸腾的水用热情催化汤圆。。。粒粒皆辛苦！

当当～～汤圆好了！
Dang dang.....the balls were ready!
有些人把自己的外号写在汤圆上～
Some wrote their nick name on using the balls.....
鸟人很努力的在完成自己～
The bird man was trying hard to form himself.....
这里的一颗心，本来是在蓝天使与鸟人之间。。。但是不被允许公开～
It's a heart!
圆形的汤圆压扁了，便成花瓣～
Being squeezed until flat...just like the petal....
圣诞树也出现了！
Christmas tree....!!
圣诞树在鸟人的上头。。。。变成圣诞“鸟”人～～
Christmas tree on the bird..... became "Santa Bird Man".....
寻觅汤圆是好玩的事。。。
Searching and hunting.....
汤圆微笑了。。。。但是，我还是要把你吃下去！！ ＝。＝

有些人说这位小姐没有洗手就来搓汤圆。。。
This lady seems like forgot to wash her hands.....while she was rubbing the balls.....

据说他们是对兄妹，肤色发型都很相似。。。虽然右边那位故意装作“陌生人”。。。。
There were rumours around telling that they are siblings....
They have almost same hairstyle...both in black...
还特意穿着陌生人～～
But, someone intended to hide it by wearing the "STRANGER" t-shirt...
。。这一幕却穿煲了他们是兄妹的事实。。。。
This shot proved the rumours!
那一天之后的几天～我们一群工程系的伙伴们自行来个集会搓汤圆～～
After a few days since that day, we had another gathering again....All were the engineering fellas...
大家好像搓得很辛苦。。。呵呵～～
Rubbing hard....hoho~
这位女士被旁边一位“无影搓圆手”吓到了。。。脸色很难看～～
This lady scared by the "Speedy hands" besides her.....Her face just "kecut".....
他们放在煎锅上，打算炒来吃。。。＝。＝
The balls on frying pan...they planned to fry it...OMG!
只有红与白～～
Red and White.....
大家都用着逻辑思考以及数学算式来增加搓汤圆的速度。。。真不简单～
Everyone was applying the logical concepts and formulas to increase the speed of rubbing the balls....
最后，千辛万苦提炼出来的汤圆终于完成了～
Eventually.....The "balls"...so called "tang yuan" were ready~
吃完汤圆的我们，就像小学作文的结尾一样。。。
Just like our primary school english essay, it ended by.....
“时候不早了，我们兴高采烈地踏上归途。这是难得的经验，如果还有机会，我一定会再次出现～”
"It's not early and we went back home happily. This was an unforgettable experience. I will come again next time."
